A bit behind on posts with the holidays and having to work through them.

The server has been kept up to date with some down time due to some issues with infinite worlds. The server is not current and is set to Survival.

Keep in mind that Space Engineers is in early stages of infinite worlds, so there are bound to be bugs and issues. That was lat update, this update adds programming to the game, see here for a guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=360966557

EDIT 01/02/2015:

New TBU Server: 7 Days To Die

7-Days-To-Die-Logo-500This is more of a announcement/update post. TBU now hosts a 7 Days To Die server.

Baring issues, the server remains open and without a password. So please follow the rules regarding no “bambi killing” (Dont kill noobs)

We have been running the server on our VPS for the past couple of week and overall the game seems really stable and pretty fun.

As of last night we are now on the Xmas Alpha 10.3 update. For a list of patch notes on this update, go here.

To connect to the server, just use the address ded.tbuservers.net

Space Engineers [1.060] – Sound block, New skybox, Bugfixing

With this update  it looks like Space Engineers is taking one of the first steps to a expanded universe. The have changed the skybox and I suspect the now fixed asteroid bug was related to this future feature.

As I mentioned in the forums we have changed the map over to Creative. With the recent updates things have been getting a bit unstable between updates  and hotfixes. The last issue we had to deal with was the ownership bug. I also expect the game to become even more unstable now that they have started implementing the expanded universe.

So, because of all this, the server will most likely stay of Creative for now. This will allow players to test new updates and build without having to loose hours of work (Blueprints F10).

Patch Notes:

Features
– sound block
– new skybox

Fixes
– fixed projector loses orientation after power loss
– fixed issue with cooperating assemblers resetting build progress on master assembler
– fixed issue with antennas that were set OFF were working after loading
– fixed timers, cockpits and other blocks which could not be welded in projection
– fixed crash caused by same object being added twice
– fixed crash when saving in remote control or camera and reloading the game

EDIT:
Update 01.060.018
– fixed issues with missing asteroids when staring new game

Update 01.060.019
– fixed issues with invisible asteroids for clients

EDIT 12/12/2014:
Update 01.060.022
– fixed crash when opening cargo inventory
– fixed crash when downloading mods

Space Engineers [1.059] Projector & Assembler Improvements

Waited a bit before pushing this update to the server since there was some ownership issues. The issue should not have affected the server since we never pushed the update that broke it.

Patch Notes:

Features
– projector improvements
– assembler improvements
– mwm viewer improvements
– added the single item disassemble option for assembler

– fixed issue with landing gears being ripped off
– fixed confusing disassemble for assembler – assembler now disassembles only items in its own inventory

– fixed assembler showing blocks for disassemble instead of components
– fixed inventory filter is not closing when pressing ‘X’
– fixed projected block does not keep options
– fixed projected blueprints don’t keep groups
– fixed projector projecting when it’s off

Warning: Avast and possibly other anti-virus software could mark file SpaceEngineersDedicated.exe as a malware containing “Win32:Evo-gen” infection. This may happen during Steam download of this new update. This is just a false-positive, please mark this file as an exception to continue the update.

Space Engineers [1.058] – Projector block, Bugfixing #5

Bugfix week # 5, plus a new thing it seems. This weeks update adds the Projector Block. This should make for some interesting shipyards. Added with the fact you can now access blueprints from Survival, it allows you to make a “projection” of the saved ship that can then be welded. This works with adding onto ship and repairing them as well. Watch the video above for more info, and the patch notes on the Official Forums for a walk-through: here

The TBU Space Engineers server is still on Survival, and has been updated.

Patch Notes:
Features
– projector block
– option to use blueprints menu (F10) and save blueprint (Ctrl+B) in survival mode
– possibility to display pivot point of the grid (Terminal -> Info -> Show grid pivot)
– turrets are not shooting armor on friendly ships; this applies to other blocks with no ownership as well
Fixes
– fixed MWM builder resetting pivot rotation and position of models
– fixed custom gatling gun shooting itself
– fixed game crash when changing ownership as block is destroyed
– fixed thruster damage not working on cargo container
– fixed wrong collision model of antenna
– fixed crash when placing sniper turret (mod)

EDIT 11/28/2014:
Update 01.058.015
– fixed projected blueprints with merge block don’t stay connected when being projected
– fixed door model bug when finished from projection
– fixed projected blueprints don’t persist when disconnected from grid
– fixed projection doesn’t persist when merging/unmerging from another ship/station
– fixed crash in toolbar and other minor crash

Happy Thanksgiving!
