Garry’s Mod released a large update today, and it seems to have broken parts of the gamemode.

I am working on patching the issues and will have the server back up soon.

Space Engineers [1.072] – Laser Antenna

This week brings us Laser Antennas as well as a few other things. The laser antennas are basically point to point communication and are not spammed on the hud like regular antennas or beacons. They are line of sight so they can be easily blocked.

Space Engineers [1.071] – New Armor and Favorites

Another week, another update. Breaking a bit with tradition and updating today instead of waiting.

This update brings a feature that we have been wanting for a while. Favorites and History tot eh multilayer server list. This should make it alot easier to keep track of our server and others.

We are also getting new blocks with this update, even more that will conform to neighboring blocks. Should make for some really interesting builds.

PostNukeRP – SQL Hotfix and Update News

Due to a SQL Injection exploit the PNRP database was compromised. In other words, most everyone’s profiles were messed with as well as the community tables.

The patch uploaded to the server should safeguard against any further attempts. The downside is that the server database had to be wiped.

Update News

This has delayed work on the new update a bit, but not too long thankfully. Originally we were talking about doing a wipe with the new update. Since I am really against wipes I will be putting extra effort into some one time use functions that will convert players info to the new system.

One of the changes that we are working on for the next big patch is a change to the inventory system. With the new system we are planning on items storing their stats and such.

As a extra treat I will mention one other plan. The knife will no longer be a default weapon with the planned update. The current fist weapon will be the default, and the knife will be a craft weapon. So a heads up, I wont be converting the knife into players inventory.

When will the server be back up?

I should have the server up tomorrow afternoon/night. Its late here, and I dont want to bring the server up without being able to monitor it if there is a issue.

Space Engineers [1.070] – LCD and new rounded armor

Been a big week for Keen, the makers of Space Engineers. This week saw the early access release of Medieval Engineers as well as some announced future plans for Space Engineers.

Few of the future things we will see in SE are, Planets, possibly atmospheres, and some reworked multilayer code. Good stuff.

Back to the SE server. The TBU SE server has now been updated to 1.070 and with this update we get LCD panels that actually display text and textures, plus more rounded armor blocks. As always we wait till Fri/Sat to patch to make sure major issues are taken care of before it goes live to the server.

Warning: LCD panel reset when merged with another grid or when ground down and merged again – it is a bug. It is also a known issue – please do not report it. Workaround is to switch panel OFF and ON again and the correct text/texture appears. Armor LODs are changing at short distance, it is also known. We will be fixing these issues as soon as possible.
