i currently have turtle beach earforces (the ones with the external soundcard [DSS2]) it uses an optical cable to transfer most information, and valve games only accept USB/Microphone-linked headsets. are there any registries or anything i can change to allow it to use the optical cable output/input? extra info: it's a pink port, and it has it's own line-in channel |

The audio input should not matter, go into your sound settings in control panel and make sure your headset or whatever its connected to is set as your default audio device. Outgoing and input. |

i've done that, mumble, and all system sounds play just find through the 'set, even the game sounds do, but not the voice audio of in-game.... i can't even use X because it doesn't recognize the headset |

Have you tried sacrificing a chicken to the Valve god and dipping your headset in the blood? [Only virtual chickens were harmed in creation of this post] |
