Minecraft Server 1.0 Update Q/A

Reposting this since alot of people keep asking about the 1.0 update.
Q. Are we going to update to 1.0?
A. Yes.
Q. When?
A. When there is a stable release of bukkit and needed plugins to protect the server. We will be testing all this on our Dev server first.
Q. Can we have access to the Dev server?
A. No, its only for testing and not public use.
Q. What will happen to the current world?
A. It will be backed up. We will have access to it available through stargates when we are sure multiworld works correctly.
Q. Why cant we get to the other worlds now?
A. In 1.8.1 there is a despawning bug with NPC’s. This caused the server to flood and crash.
I will add more as I get them.

We had a odd error were a plugin deleted its config.
The whitelist is off now. Need help testing to see what broke. Sorry for the inconvenience. 🙁

Mine craft is going live at Minecon in Las Vegas!
So it seem that Minecraft 1.0 is gonna be here to day.
That’s right, Minecraft is coming out of beta today!
But is the server??? Sadly not 100% on that. I’ll need to talk to some of the Admins, And with Eldar on that.
But I’m gonna say not too soon. If we did it would have to be a white listed server. Sorry. 🙁
It would be members only, Or trusted players. Like a personal friend.
I will be sure to update you with any new info on server changes in the next few days.

Warning about Minecraft server!

Minecraft server has had a nasty bug were the chest were really borked.
The new update fixed this problem, But there is a issue.
Go on and re own all your chests now. I’m Gonna set chest protection in world guard for now till people have time to set
there chest back to normal. I’ll update you as soon as I get this sorted. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The motd will post this as well when players first join.
Server bukkit version has been updated to #1317
Also on anther note iChat is not working with the new build of bukkit You are still a member or owner. It just wont state it for now.
Server is back open to the public!…. For now atleast.

OK whats new.
Well most of your old inventory is gone but not lost. I still have the player files.
And The old map is still there, And it is still protected.
We are working on a new portal system to take you back, And forth from any world or location!
It’s called the hub. It’s a work in progress.
So that’s good right? -_-
Sorry for the wait, but still at least its open again till the next update.
And there is a food glitch that gives you far more food than it should.
You should notice that as soon as you eat.
I hope this is fixed soon in the next bukkit release.
Creepers now hurt you so be careful. However they cant destroy blocks.
